About Our Farm

When I bought my small 2-hectare lifestyle block 20 years ago, all I could see were flowers. I didn’t look very hard at the 100-year-old house on the property, all I could see was potential in the empty paddock that came with that old house. I guess you could say that that empty paddock was my “Gift with Purchase”

It was another ten years before that gift became my focus and I found the courage to start planting. It was hard, balancing my “Real full time Job” with family, while trying to establish my flower business. I made so many mistakes, but also had some great success.

Nowadays I am grateful to live at Country Blooms Flower Farm along with four generations of my own family, and to work alongside two valuable part time flower ladies.

Sara, Carla, and I take pride in producing quality blooms for Florists and Event Designers throughout the South Island, as well as flower lovers within our local community. We specialise in romantic field and greenhouse grown flowers including, Dahlias, Lisianthus, Stock, Hydrangea, Paeonies, Gypsophila and so much more.
